It’s a cold, windy January day, and I’m tired. I slept well last night. I slept in until 7:30 a.m. But I’m tired. Is it the dreariness of the day, boredom, being 65 years old, or MBC?
A common symptom of many cancers — not just MBC —is fatigue. It’s another pleasure that MBC has robbed me of…a good old afternoon nap. In my mind, I think, “Should I be tired? Am I getting worse? Should I fight it or give in?”
I finally gave in and slept for 1½ hours. I woke up feeling refreshed. Now the big question, will I sleep tonight?
